Digital Learning Specialist for Tyngsborough Public Schools
About Tom Varnum
Before taking over my new position as Digital Learning Specialist for Tyngsborough Public Schools in 2017, I had taught English at Tyngsborough High School since the fall of 1994. During that time I taught all grades and levels and developed and implemented curriculum for a variety of classes including journalism, film studies and public speaking. I hold a BA in English and Communications from the University of Notre Dame (1989) and an MA in English from Fordham University (1992).
In addition to my teaching duties, I coach golf (2000-2006, 2008-present) and boys tennis (2009-present) at Tyngsborough High and coach the varsity girls basketball team at Lowell Catholic High School (2003-present). I coached the women’s golf team at Boston University (2007-2008) and the boys varsity basketball team at Tyngsborough (1997-2003).
